Installazione composta da una teca in argilla, fango e paglia, 1 fiore di zafferano in terracotta che galleggia all'interno della teca e 5 oggetti in ceramica collocati all'esterno della teca.<\/h2>\n

CLITHERA \u00e8 un tentativo di reinterpretare l'antico rapporto con il sacro femminile prima dell'avvento del patriarcato.<\/p>\n

CLITHERA \u00e8 figlia dell'arte femminista degli anni Sessanta ma anche di tutte le opere d'arte che hanno come soggetto gli organi genitali maschili, come ad esempio le offerte votive etrusche.<\/p>\n

Tuttavia il clitoride non \u00e8 mai stato il protagonista di queste opere, mentre la vulva, l'utero e il seno sono stati spesso rappresentati. Simulacri di organi sempre legati alla funzione riproduttiva o deputati al nutrimento, non al desiderio o al piacere.<\/p>\n

Non esiste al mondo un tempio dedicato al clitoride, mentre esistono santuari dedicati agli organi riproduttivi femminili.<\/p>\n

Il santuario del clitoride contiene al suo interno un fiore, l'organo riproduttivo delle piante. Ironicamente \u00e8 il clitoride a contenere l'organo della riproduzione, non viceversa.<\/p>\n

CLITHERA \u00e8 quindi una proposta artistica, culturale e politica che affronta il tema del desiderio, in particolare quello femminile, e di come le donne spesso rinuncino a perseguirlo.<\/p>\n
